I'm back from tour. The experience was wonderful... made new friends, strengthened existing friendships... realized just how empty it's going to feel next year when more than half of the orchestra leaves. Well... maybe not the orchestra, but 8 of 13 cellists and all the bassists save one or two and a lot of violinists and violists, and... oh god we're losing the conductor and. Well. Maestro Neale has made my list of one of the all-time nicest people. And still we must go on... But I'm back, and full of stories to tell about Russia and Ireland and Lithuania, and I suppose I'd better get cracking on that "hope" assignment of poetica-collab's. So. I got a lot written, a lot done, a lot said... Later. J |
