first day of school! yay. also, a partial eclipse (supposed to be 60% in the bay area), which unfortunately i missed. oh well, i'll be somewhere that will be supposed to get one someday. and if not, there's always the exploratorium webcast.

so i got into class and was told to switch sections (actually, the nice lady just asked if anyone would volunteer, and no one else got up, so i simply. had. to. go. no, i'm not neurotic) which is fine, because my section of german 10 is so much better than the other one. i kid you not. we get to do tpr (total physical response) and leap off chairs. what does the other section do? they dance. clearly we are superior. *snort*

i also got to run around campus after class, getting books, a photo ID, and my language tapes. then i discovered the UC Berkeley library. it's wonderful. and i have access to it until 16 august. *chortles with joy* oh, i'm going to have such fun with this... one might even ask what the use of going to class is. (to maintain my library priveleges, of course.) it's funny: i complain during the school year about how much stress school involves, and then i turn around and sign up for summer classes. as a result, i have about an hour's worth of homework tonight which has still not been done. clearly, i am insane.

however, there is at least one person willing to talk to me, i am not a social leper, and hey, there are two people with my name in the class. whether you take my real name or my internet pseudonym. (no. no one's parents would be cruel enough to name their child oddcellist. i meant jay.) *shrugs* for what it's worth.

anyway, back to work. i'm looking forward, strangely, to this summer.
